Everything is fine and it works great forfighting games but the d-pad falls of afterabout 2 months and the analog stick is nogood for fighting games, models p2600 andp220 have the same problem.
I haven't tested the two analog extensively and so can't comment on them. For me, there's no point in playing if Hugo or Zangief aren't usable.I tried this with both the Windows XP generic driver and Saitek's own drivers with the same results. Although this gamepad is probably fine for some things, it is not for fighting games (emulators). A 360 (Zangief, etc) and even half circles are difficult if not near impossible to pull off.
Would highly recommend. Shipping was very quick. This Is a Very good quality Joystick. Great for gaming.
But I bought it for play Madden 08 with on PC.It works great.Works great in madden.I love it and I'd recommend it to anyone.The only thing I have a problem with and its not even bad, its that I'd rather them give you two buttons on top (Like R1 and R2 on the playstation controllers) instead of having six buttons on the right side.As for it not working with Madden 2008 I installed all the drivers and it works great. I honestly dont understand what everyone is complaining about. Although I havent had this long enough (I've had it a few weeks) for it to break like everyone else has.
I play the game pad hard and nothing has broken, yet.Finally, I would have given this 5 stars, but driver disc didn't have the drivers for Windows Vista. I purchased this Saitek P2500 game pad to replace a Microsoft game pad (the X-axis toggle broke off due to cheap construction).I've been very happy with the Saitek, particularly the ergonomics and the quality of construction.Ergonomically, the game pad fits very naturally in my hands and the buttons are well laid and intuitive. Although there was an error message, the drivers seem to have loaded correctly and the game pad works great. I went to the SAITEK.com website, link is: http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers2.asp, downloaded the correct drivers to my desktop and ran them from there. I don't have to hunt and peck for my controls when I play a game. Also, I'm able to play for hours with very little fatigue and the controls are very responsive.The construction is solid.
